With a new acquisition, and a forward-thinking strategy, U.S. Steel needed to supercharge their first live executive summit in four years. Image Media’s strategic recommendation to treat the Summit as a brand activation -- as opposed to a “meeting” -- opened the door to an array of creative decisions that transformed the ordinary into extraordinary.
Global leadership arrived expecting a typical general session held in their research facility. What they got was an impressive scenic environment where the company’s massive steelmaking equipment and enormous blast furnaces took center stage. Image Media’s creativity and production expertise elevated the entire experience into a celebration of U.S. Steel pride and innovation. Sparks flew (literally!) when the CEO took the stage becoming the catalyst forging a strong sense of community and excitement throughout the event.
Participants moved seamlessly from the general session to a custom exhibit hall. The multifunctional expo area included interactive video booths, lounge areas, networking spaces, and an opportunity to dialogue with ERG leaders. To enhance the experience even more, Image Media suggested bringing U.S. Steel artifacts out of hiding and feature them throughout the space. This dynamic, fully integrated, branded expo area brought U.S. Steel’s positioning to life, fostered community, and inspired executives to spread the word throughout the organization.
